Language Acquisition Resource Center | América Latina: Temas Trascendentes para el Siglo XXI
With US and media attention focused on the Middle East and Asia these days, it can be challenging to stay abreast of what is going on in other parts of the world. In response, the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) and International Studies Education Project (ISTEP) at San Diego State University and the Center for Iberian and Latin American Studies at the University of California, San Diego, with support from San Diego State’s Language Acquisition Resource Center (LARC,) are sponsoring an intensive summer institute specifically designed for teachers of Spanish. The program will examine the most significant economic, political, social and cultural issues unfolding in the region and offer insights into where Latin America is headed in the 21stcentury.
